No dogs allowed
From the Aber Falls (Bont Newydd) Lower CP we head towards the falls, climbing gradually, then to get above the falls and out into the hills, there is a short scree slope to cross, followed by a section where even in dry weather the path is rocky/wet/mossy/inclined/slippery, so care is needed, but it is possible to scramble around this by climbing higher if you wish. There is then some slight exposure (to one side) to cross a gulley to get into open land where we then follow the river.
The ascent to Llwytmor via Llwytmor Bach is steep, across open pathless ground with some bracken/heather. We then descend a little before ascending Foel Fras, then onto Drum, then descend back along the old quarry track onto the Pilgrim’s Way and back to the CP
Note: there is also parking at the Upper CP, where there are toilets. Note this closes/locked at 5pm (after 1-Oct)
