From the Minera Mines CP we find our way out, up through woodland/farmland and then onto open land and up Esclusham Mountain. This ‘mountain’ is 456m hign and the climb is a steady 230m over 2km.

We descend, then cross fields to enter the Minera Quarry Nature Reserve where we follow old quarry workings and onto the old mine workings and back along a dismantled railway.

Terrain:
Mix of paths, tracks, gravel, road, open land. One small overgrown stretch with tall ferns. A few stiles, mainly gates.
