Friday Green Walk
Start Point: St Andrews Church Coniston

There is a choice of longer or shorter walk depending on walkers.
Description:
A short walk from St Andrews church Coniston.
From the church we follow the road and tracks to W then SW over Dixon Ground before turning to stepping stones over Scrow Beck. We skirt the bottom of Foul Scrow and cross Church Beck via the Miners’ Bridge. Travelling E we follow the contours at the base of the Coniston Fells into Yewdale. A woodland footpath takes us to Low Yewdale where we cross Yewdale Beck and join the Cumbria Way on our return journey to the town.

Longer Option:
Continue up Yewdale Fellside to the Great Intake then short distance in A593 before going along footpath to Low Yewdale and Cumbria Way.

Ascent: 280m
