Do not walk if you are feeling unwell. Carry your own hand sanitiser. In case of an emergency ensure you have with you a face mask and first aid pack.
Inevitably, the route will go through gates and over stiles that other people will have touched. It may have narrow sections that mean you will be passing close to other people.
This is a straight-forward walk fairly close to home. It takes in the Iron Age hill forts of Moel Arthur and Penycloddiau – Welsh Marilyn.
The walk begins and ends at the car park just east of Moel Arthur. This first leg of the walk has not been recce’d, we will find our way on the day. We head off northerly skirting Moel Plas-yw before turning westerly towards and passing Bryn-ffynnon. Crossing fields we walk below Penycloddiau on the north side until we reach Nant Coed-y-myndd.
We now turn back on ourselves heading south easterly climbing gradually to the summit of Penycloddiau. We leave the summit dropping down through woodland until the saddle before climbing again to Moel Arthur. Its now a short walk down to the start point.
