From the car park we head SW up to our first peak Moel y Faen. We now follow the wide track to Moel y Gamelin. Then on to the “bald hill of the fortress”, the Iron Age hillfort of Moel y Gaer and on to Moel Morffyd.
We descend off the hills heading towards Rhewl. After the farm at Cymmo our route takes us uphill, back on to the moor. We contour below the hills we walked earlier until we re-climb our first hill Moel y Faen. It’s now downhill back to the car park.
