The route takes us along a quiet road above Kelsall to our first footpath which leads us to little Switzerland and down close to The Boot (pub), too early to take refreshments! We then skirt Willington village and ascend up past Pearl Hole to Tirley Lane where we join the Sandstone Trail briefly at Summertrees. We follow the path through Primrose Wood and then traverse the Cross Country Course at Organsdale before crossing the A54 and the A556 then up Stoney Lane to walk towards Delamere Forest on the Roman Road. We enter the forest briefly before turning left to again join the Sandstone Trail at Gresty’s Waste, which we follow through Primrose Wood before turning off to return to the car park, hopefully in good time to join our party at Paula and Ian’s house.
Join the relevant OHWC Community Group to book the walk. Also, the Community Group for the Picnic if you are going to that as well.
