Burwardsley and Pheasant Inn

This is a leisurely green social walk around the Sandstone trail with woodland paths, tracks and quiet lanes.
I am planning to book lunch at the Pheasant Inn, Burwardsley, at the end of the walk.
You are very welcome to join us for lunch even you don’t want to do the walk!

Social Green

Wednesday 21 May 2025

2 dogs allowed

This circular walk starts at the Sandstone Trail car park (next to the old Candle Factory in Burwardsley) – this should be fairly quiet on a Wednesday morning.

We walk along quiet lanes to join the Sandstone Trail and then cross field paths past Peckforton woods to enter Bulkeley Hill wood. We should have good views if the weather is clear. We then continue along the edge of woods and follow a clear track and quiet lanes to return to the car park and then on to the pub for lunch.

I will book lunch at the Pheasant Inn at 12.45:

Please let me know by Wednesday 14th May if you want to join for lunch and by Monday 19th May if you want to join the walk. Notification for joining the walk and/or lunch should be made via the relevant Group in the OHWC Community.
