Coombes Valley Staffordshire Moorlands

This low level walk that may be in a new area to you and is not too far to travel. The route is undulating without any long ups or downs but with some of the terrain due to the recent wet weather will feel tougher than the statistics indicate. The walk is in some lovely woodland starting and finishing in a RSPB nature reserve, crosses farmland and some very quiet country lanes with many Squeeze and Step stiles.

We head south through the RSPB reserve and then through Whitehough Woods continuing in a similar direction until we get to Stocks Green. We will then fork North East and go along the path above Collyhole Brook then turning North West until we reach another country lane this section is just over 2km but passes some lovely scenery and rejoin the off road paths by Upper Fernyhill Farm and shortly after finding ourselves back in the nature reserve heading north back to the start.
