Dyserth Waterfall, Graig Fawr and Marian Ffrith

The walk starts and ends above Dyserth, an area that has a rich history due to its clear water springs and wells. This led to a wealth of flour and fulling mills, the remains of one Felin Fawr, we pass on our walk. Now Dyserth is known as a picturesque place with a waterfall in its centre.
This circular walk offers views across beautiful countryside and out to the sea beyond Prestatyn. The walk passes over Graig Fawr and continues onto Marian Ffrith via Offa’s Dyke path and then skirts around Y Foel before heading back to Dyserth and it’s waterfall.

Starting from the car park, we head briefly downhill to pick up our first path. This contours around the west side of Graig Fawr before going up to the view point. Heading down the far side we briefly pick up a country lane before reaching the Offa’s Dyke path. From here we travel across a mix of fields, tracks and country lanes before finally reaching Marian Ffrith. Country lanes then lead us to a footpath which passes through Church Wood and onto Y Foel, taking in splendid views of the coast. Finally, we head down into Dyserth and onto the waterfall before heading back through woodland and on to the carpark.
