No dogs allowed
The walk starts from the minor road that runs NNW of Cefn-ddwysarn on the A494. There is (very) limited roadside parking. From Pandy, another minor road runs to a farm where we pick up a track to the stream of Nant Cwm-da. A footpath follows the stream, crossing it twice before we leave the path for a short climb to our first top, Orrdu (555m). Heading west along a boundary line, another 1km of rough and potentially boggy ground brings us to the main summit and Marylin of Foel Goch (611m). Continuing further westwards along the watershed (hint – may be boggy!), we reach the cairn on Garnedd Fawr (569m). From here we descend S and SW to join a path that bypasses another minor top of Pen y Bwlch Gwyn before we head SSE directly off path to the summit of Moel Emoel (549m). From here a pathless descent NE to the Nant Cefn-coch leads us to a track and then a minor road which we follow back to the cars..
