This is a circular walk on well-established paths taking in 2 lakes, over gradual ascents and descents. It is just below the blue+ category.

We start from the Llyn Brenig visitor centre car park, where toilets and refreshments are available and head SW through forest on excellent paths towards Alwen Reservoir dam. Having crossed this, the path follows the lakeside through woodland and then the Denbigh Moors, before we head NE over a footbridge and on to a bridleway over Hafod Elwy Moor Nature Reserve. Near Pont y Brenig we join the Llyn Brenig trail SE though forest near the lakeside back to the car park.

Well-metalled footpaths, bridleways and forest tracks. Short sections on road.
