A pleasant figure of 8 walk with excellent views across the valley to Ruthin, the Dee Estuary and Snowdonia, on a clear day.

We leave the car park at the Dinorben Arms and go through the Church yard to begin our ascent to Moel y Gaer over farmland, before descending through the woodland paths down through the Warren to cross the A543 and the River Wheeler before joining the minor road which skirts Moel y Parc.
We then join the Offa’s Dyke path which begins our ascent to Moel Y Parc past The Grove Hall, and then towards Penycloddiau. When we reach the road junction just below Penycloddiau we begin our ascent to Moel y Parc, with uninterrupted views all around.
We then begin our descent and eventually rejoin the Offa’s Dyke path which leads towards Bodfari and the opportunity for refreshments at the very well appointed Dinorben Arms. (Part of the Brunning and Price chain). Hopefully, the weather will be kind to us and afford the possibility of some picturesque views of the surrounding countryside.
