Green TUESDAY Tiverton & Beeston Castle Circular

18 August 10:00-13:30

Tiverton & Beeston Castle Circular 18th August 2020
Grade: GREEN Number of dogs allowed: 2

Do not walk if you are feeling unwell. Carry your own hand sanitiser. In case of an emergency ensure you have with you a face mask and first aid pack.

Inevitably, the route will go through gates and over stiles that other people will have touched. It may have narrow sections that mean you will be passing close to other people.

A circular walk across varied terrain around the Beeston area.

We leave the layby on the A49 and follow the footpath to join the Sandstone Trail on Pudding Lane. We travel SW to cross the Shropshire Union Canal then make our way up to Beeston Castle. We continue to follow the trail skirting Peckforton castle. We leave the trail to ascend Stanner Nab and then descend through woodland to the Peckforton Lodge. Our journey home takes us through Beeston Mosses and eventually through the old cattle market market to the A49.
