Dear Members, after an enjoyable summer of weekend walks, a holiday in Scotland and followed by a further week in the Dolomites, we can now look forward to our break in Glaramara in the Lake District starting tomorrow. We also have two great holidays planned for next year. The first, a week in Ireland at the end of May and the second in Arnside (South Lakes) right at the end of September. Please don’t forget to pay your £50 deposit for Arnside by the end of October (next week) if you are intending to come along.
Christmas Celebrations. 12th December 2025 Chez Jules Chester
A booking has been made for 8.15pm and, like last year, I will be suggesting a venue to meet beforehand for drinks for those who wish to meet in town a little earlier. We are hoping this year that we will be seated upstairs.
The menu is here for you to peruse. I will be asking for people’s menu choices in late November. To book your place please send a £10 deposit pp to OHWC by November 10th. We do hope you can all make it so we can end this year in style.
Charity Event for 2025
Congratulations to both Pauline and Sarah for completing a tough Mountain Marathon hike in aid of the North East Wales Search & Rescue team. A fantastic £1,600 was raised!
