| Apologies – a date change for the AGM – it will now be held on Friday 13 February at Eaton Golf Club. The formal notice and agenda to be circulated soon. Particularly for the benefit of new members we go through the formal business first, then supper with the chance to social and chat and a short table quiz – with prizes! There is no charge for the supper and a paying bar will be available. | |||

| Safety Guidance for Leaders and Safety Guidance for Walkers | |||
| As you know we have been developing further guidance for both you and our Walk Leaders following our experience of walking in poor weather conditions. A special event for Walk Leaders and prospective walk leaders is planned for January/February. The new easy to read/reminder laminated cards (similar to our ICE Cards) will be available to all our members at the AGM. New members can also pick up the laminated cards for ICE (In case of emergency) – for more information go to our website https://ohwc.org.uk/safety | |||
| We need more Walk Leaders – Training in 2015 | |||
| We are arranging another training course for Bronze Level (Green Walks) which is run in house with both class room and field training. We are also offering the opportunity, with an external trainer, to progress training to Gold Level (and we have a few eager members who are planning to do this).If you are interested in either and have not already registered your interest please contact Steve Andrews | |||

| Just to let you know we have made an early bird request for 15-18 April for the HF House in Dovedale, Derbyshire. | |||

| This is a non HF location and set in the most beautiful location with lovely walks at both low and high levels and can also provide a base for the Wainwrights booking details out next year. | |||

| One of our members has suggested that it would be most helpful to check their booking status for walking weekends/social events. We are therefore developing a list of those booked (this does of course also confirm that payment has been made) and will be available soon on our website (you will need to log in). | |||
